This job involves providing hands-on care and support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting, including helping with daily activities, administering medications, and ensuring a safe environment.

Summary of Position:
This position exists to provide direct care services and to administer medications to the individuals supported. This position incorporates the new role of medication administration per QMAP regulations
Duties of the position:
Implementation Of Individual Program Plan
Under the direction of the LPT, LPN, RN, and within the scope of training provided: administers and documents residential, therapy, medical and behavior related objectives as identified in the IPP of persons served.
Administers oxygen, over-the-counter treatments and monitors feeding pumps. Some of these activities involve lifting and/or pivoting individuals.
Transports (drives) individuals to their day program site, medical appointments, court hearings and/or community activities. Protects the rights of persons served and enhances their quality of life.
Conditions of Employment:
This position requires State of Colorado residency at the time of application (unless otherwise identified in the posting), and residency within the state throughout the duration of employment in this position.
Motor Vehicle Check, if the employee will drive a state-owned vehicle, either in an ongoing capacity while performing their normal day-to-day job duties, OR on occasion for training/meetings/client visits/etc.
Must possess a valid, non-restricted Colorado Driver’s License or a non-restricted U.S. Driver's License for positions within 30 miles of the CO state border
Out-of-State Driver’s License holders must obtain a valid, non-restricted Colorado Driver’s License within 30 days of employment start date.

Relevant years of state service experience.
