The work is very hands-on and outdoors in all weather, with seasonal variety—landscaping and irrigation in warmer months, leaf cleanup in the fall, and snow/ice control in the winter.
The team is close-knit, collaborative, and supportive, often pitching in to cover routes or large projects.This position is responsible for ensuring that the grounds supervisor’s expectations for campus grounds maintenance and landscape services are being met or exceeded within budget and safety requirements; by providing on-going maintenance, landscaping, recycling and snow removal of all grounds areas on campus; to include tasks such as the application of pesticides, as needed and maintenance of the landscape beds, shrubs, ornamentals, flowers and other similar horticultural areas around campus, in coordination and oversight of the Grounds Supervisor.
