Full Job Description

This position is located at: The Courses of Clear Creek Golf Course- Fort Hood, Texas.

As part of the Clear Creek Golf Course team you will provide recreation services that enhance community life for Soldier and their families, and promotes welfare that directly support readiness and resiliency at Fort Hood.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: - Minimum of 2 years experience managing or directing the activities of a golf course.

- A 4 year college degree in a business related field may be substituted for 1 year of experience.

*** Highly Preferred Criteria: Highly preferred candidates will be referred to management first.

In addition to meeting the above qualifications, highly preferred is defined as also meeting ALL of the criteria listed below: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in golf course management or related hospitality industry demonstrating.

Possess the ability to make quick and intelligent financial decisions with an expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and maximizing revenue. through effective marketing and membership programs.

Possess a familiarity with environmental regulations and best practices in golf course maintenance.

In addition the below criteria are preferred but not required in order to be considered as highly preferred eligible: Possess the ability for excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with members, guest, and staff while ensuring a high-quality golfing experience and positive work place environment.

OR Possess at least two (2) years of experience using and maintaining the RecTrac system.

  • Manages, plans, and directs the daily operations of the golf course facility to include golf course maintenance.
  • Formulates instructions and directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base.
  • Coordinates functions with community, and military representatives. As a second level supervisor reviews the actions of subordinate supervisors including other PGA Professionals.
  • Prepares financial and operational briefings as required. Monitors the procurement of all supplies, equipment, and retail items for the activity. Responsible for all food and beverage operations within the facility.
  • Provides and maintains teaching program for patronage at the individual and group levels, to include personal lesson participation.
