The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Chief of Materiel Control by providing planning, directing and organizing work assigned to the 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron, Vehicle Management Flight (673 LRS/LGRV).

In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the Emergency-Essential duties until relieved by proper authority.
The incumbent or the designated alternate may be required to take part in readiness exercises.
This position cannot be vacated during national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively.
This meets the criteria of an Emergency-Essential position and requires that the incumbent, or the designated alternate, be removed from any military recall status.
Employee must sign DD Form 2365 as a condition of employment.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Position.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Examples of specialized experience includes Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Materiel Control to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
Manages 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron, Vehicle Management Flight's supply budget, and supply material acquisition systems Provides organizational support and supports quality improvements.
Provides recommendations and assists management with the development, standardization, and implementation of procedures, plans, methods and practices for a combination of operational and data management systems and supply processes to as certain changes in current activities and operations to ensure continuous customer support is maintained.
Serves as the 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron, Vehicle Management Flight's point of contact for all material/equipment acquisition and transportation to JBER and remote site locations.
OR EDUCATION: Ph.D.
or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., related degree from an accredited college or university.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time--in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, functions, techniques, and methods applicable to the MIPR process, inventory management, and data system.
Practical knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply management data processing and requirements for procurement transactions in applicable automated supply system, and in-depth knowledge of related systems functionality.
Knowledge of LRS workflow, job and work order scheduling, work processes, and overall supply and delivery requirements.
Knowledge of and ability to use general and position-specific computer applications and systems for data entry, processing, and management, and creation of standard documents including spreadsheets, letters, reports, and briefing materials.
Skill in performing recurring supply assignments, operations, or procedures in providing services and resolving problems of a procedural nature in supply operations, planning, or program management.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as spares procurement regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, MIPRs, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex system related problems/issues.
Ability to receive, screen, review, compile, and organize supply data and prepare supply documents. Ability to communicate and provide advice in terms of oral and written recommendations.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
