This position is responsible to perform a variety of administrative support assignments that include reception, application registration and assignment, scanning, distribution of mail, returning of telephone calls, oversee state car fleet, LEIN/TAC coordination and operation, maintaining data on spreadsheets, performing fiscal-related functions, performing recordkeeping functions, and ordering and maintaining office supplies.

EducationEducational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
ExperienceGeneral Office Assistant 5No specific type or amount of experience is required.
General Office Assistant 6One year of administrative support experience.
General Office Assistant E7Two years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to the intermediate level.
Qualifications
Subclass Code: This position is a LEIN operator and has a subclass code: LEIN/TAC requiring fingerprint background check, pass the LEIN certification test and be certified within 6 months of employment, and retest/recertify every 2 years.

Position Location: The current vacancy is at located at 41227 Mound Round Road, Sterling Heights, MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:
- A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
- A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
- Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
