Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737

As a General Engineer, you will plan and carry out work in accordance with engineering practices; AND you will independently accomplish work in accordance with applicable guidelines (i.e., agency regulations/guidance, technical manuals, and professional textbooks) and solve technical and engineering problems.

Specialized experience is defined as: Providing architectural and engineering support for the development, execution, and documentation of projects; Gathering electronic data using various systems (i.e.
Computer Aided Design (CAD), Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Digital Twins, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) methods and software); Maintaining engineering manuals, design files and construction plans for various projects (i.e.
administrative facilities, power generating plants, and operational/security facilities); Preparing construction packages and drawings for engineering staff; AND serving as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or Alternate COR as required.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

This position is being filled under Direct Hire Authority (DHA) in accordance with Section 9905 "Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense." Typical work assignments may include the following: Performs architectural support and engineering for the development, execution, and documentation of varying project scopes at the Pentagon Reservation.
Utilizes various systems and software to provide support to architects and engineers, prepares documents for the development of construction packages, and provides explanations and interpretive documentation for the organization/engineering staff.
Provides quality assurance and reviews of designs, analyses, construction shop drawings, reports, contract drawings, and other data.
Serves as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or Alternate COR of technical service contracts as required and makes recommendations for contract requirements Collaborates with the Contracting Officer (KO) during market research, independent government cost estimate, and technical evaluations.
