Full Job Description
Performs maintenance and repair tasks in such areas as carpentry, locksmith, electricity, heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, boiler operation and energy plant operation. Assists in maintaining and repairing equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors and appliances. Makes emergency and general repairs and adjustments to equipment used in building and maintenance work. Conducts routine inspections to ensure employees follow proper operating, maintenance and safety procedures for routine jobs.
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent and trade experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of refrigeration, mechanical and boiler systems, plumbing, carpentry and heating, venting, air conditioning (HVAC) equipment.
Qualifications
License in EPA – approved Freon recovery certification.
Additional Information
Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and stand for a long period of time. Must be able to climb and work from ladders, stairs, and scaffolding. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in confined spaces; hot, hazardous and noisy locations; and in adverse weather conditions.
