The Department of Human Services is seeking a dedicated Forensic Therapeutic Activities Worker to join our dynamic activities team.
In this meaningful role, you will provide and facilitate individual and group therapeutic recreation services for consumers at Norristown State Hospital.

In this position, you will provide services that are conducted efficiently and effectively to ensure the highest quality of individualized treatment and support.
A diverse variety of activities, including games, exercises, arts and crafts, sports, literature, and current events will be utilized to promote comprehensive treatment.
Social and yard activities will also be integrated to help consumers develop pro-social leisure skills, which are crucial for both treatment progress and relapse prevention.
Additionally, you will conduct formal assessments of patients and plan therapeutic recreation methods that help patients achieve goals and objectives as specified in their comprehensive treatment plan.
You will also monitor and document patient progress in the treatment record.
