Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing the sharing of sensitive military information with foreign governments, ensuring it doesn't harm national security, and creating related policies for the US Indo-Pacific Command.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a FOREIGN DISCLOSURE OFFICER for HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating foreign government requests for classified or controlled unclassified military information for impact on national security; Recommending disclosure determinations of information to foreign entities by applying knowledge of National Disclosure policy and international relationships; Ensuring that threats to security incidents pertaining to classified information are reported to authorities and investigated to prevent reoccurrence; and Assisting in developing command foreign disclosure policies and procedures that adhere to legal regulations.

  • You will oversee, develop, and implement policies related to foreign disclosure.
  • You will review disclosure requests and make decisions aligned with national disclosure policies.
  • You will train staff on foreign disclosure policies and procedures.
  • You will coordinate foreign visit requests with the embassy and local, national and theater representatives.
  • You will serve as the principal advisor in all matters pertaining to security regulations and policies.
  • You will oversee the upgrade and renewal of security clearances of assigned personnel.
