Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-12. Expert-level knowledge in field.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves analyzing international security issues, advising top Navy leaders on policies and strategies for working with other countries, and preparing reports and briefings on global political and military matters.
It's a senior role focused on helping shape the Navy's approach to international relations and defense cooperation.

You will serve as a FOREIGN AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in Policy and Strategy of OFFICE OF NAVAL POLICY.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience researching and analyzing international security/security cooperation affairs.
Experience planning, managing, or executing security/defense cooperation activities. Experience formulating/recommending positions impacting security policies or strategies.
Experience advising senior leaders/decision makers. Experience reviewing intelligence/information concerning regional trends, organizations, or economic/political decisions.
