This job is for a food service worker at a club on Westover Air Force Base in Massachusetts, where you'll handle routine tasks like setting up serving lines, cleaning kitchen equipment, washing dishes, and preparing simple food items such as fruits and vegetables.
It involves a lot of physical work, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 20 pounds, and bending or reaching often.
It's a flexible role with 0-40 hours per week, ideal for someone reliable and physically fit who enjoys hands-on work in a food environment, including veterans, military spouses, or anyone with basic service experience.
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Club on Westover AFB. The purpose of this position is to perform routine manual duties in food preparation or food service areas.
Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 20 lbs, occasionally lifts or moves objects weighing more than 20 lbs with assistance.
Continuous standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing and bending is required. This is a flexible position which means you may work between 0-40 hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Ability to read and understand written material and be able to follow simple oral instructions. Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines.
Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds, and occasionally over 20 pounds with assistance.
Ability to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push and bend for long periods of time. Major Duties:
Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments and cold menu items (e.g., salad, dessert, bread and cold beverages) on a serving line. Removes dishes and trays from tables.
Operates, breaks down and cleans all electrical equipment for food preparation. Cleans kitchen equipment (e.g., worktables, sinks and refrigerators).
Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses and silverware in dishwashing area. Loads and operates dishwashers, stores clean dishes, glasses and silverware.
Washes tables and counters, vacuums and shampoos carpets. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, cleans windows, washes walls and cleans and sanitizes trashcans.
Sorts, washes, peels and cuts fresh fruits and vegetables. Performs other related duties as assigned.
