This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE).
As a Food Service Worker you will be responsible for providing support for the food services department and assisting with routine serving of food and cleaning up after each meal.
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications.

Major Duties:
As a Food Service Worker WG-7408-2, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision: Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold meat and vegetable dishes, beverages, salads, sandwiches, pie fillings, simple bakery items, salad dressings, and/or other similar food items, as appropriate to the position.
Conveys food and supplies from various food service areas by carrying or utilizing a mobile cart.
Sets up food service, kitchen, or salad area facilities, equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction and in accordance with specific area needs; checks food temperatures and/or prepares areas for daily operations; may operate cooking or bakery equipment as assigned.
Able to clean, remove parts and reassemble; to recognize obvious wear or need for repairs; and to take care not to damage equipment. Loading, unloading, and cleaning food carts and food warmers.
Required to assist in stacking food or subsistence items in the storeroom.
