THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 INDEFINITE EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a FLIGHT SERVICES SPECIALIST T32 INDEFINITE, Position Description Number D1458000 and is part of the NH 157th Operations Group, National Guard.
This vacancy is to gather applications that may or may not result in a referral or selection. Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement.
This is a Title 32 INDEFINITE excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.

Military Grades: E5 to E6 Selectee(s) must be within the military grade(s) listed in this job announcement prior to the effective date of placement into the technician position.
Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade.
Compatible Military Assignments: Trainee to 1C771 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying a variety of regulations and procedures.
Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in mission planning for preflight, in-flight, ground or command and control (C2) duties according to specific transportation functions.
Receives, interprets, extracts, and disseminates relevant data for mission planning or execution.
Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems.
It is not necessary for applicants to possess the MOS/AFSC listed as compatible to the position in order to apply, however applicant must meet the qualifications for the position.
It is applicant's responsibility to acquire a compatible MOS/AFSC within 1 year of appointment.
Coordinate with your unit's training representative to determine whether or not you can qualify for a specific MOS/AFSC and/or receive training within the 1 year timeframe before accepting the position.
Major Duties:
Responsible for coordinating and maintaining liaison with military, federal, and local agencies concerning airspace utilization, flying operations, aircraft emergencies, search and rescue operations ,and natural disasters.
This full- performance level position provides direct support to unit and other military and civilian aircrews during scheduled and unscheduled flying and ground activities.
The incumbent works independently on standard and extended and/or rotating shifts to provide aircrews with information and assistance necessary for planning and conducting safe flight operations.
