Summary

This job involves training and evaluating flight crew members on operating heavy multi-engine aircraft, including ground and flight instruction to build their skills.

Full Job Description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSTRUCTOR), Position Description Number D0606000 and is part of the CO Army Aviation Support Facility, National Guard.

The purpose of the position is to instruct and perform flight crew work supporting heavy multi engine aircraft, and to provide assistance to the pilot in the overall operation of the aircraft.

Military Grades: E-4 thru E-8 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2.

An applicants RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below. 3.

It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience.

You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume.

Must have at least 30 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: -Experience working with aircraft weight and balance computations; aircraft performance data; aircraft records maintenance; and aircraft systems.

Major Duties:

Serves as instructor/flight examiner providing instruction, evaluation and examination on ground and operational training flights to develop and upgrade skills of aircrew members.

Applying knowledge of the full range of aircrew duties and responsibilities, methods of instruction and requirements of the program, performs standardization.

May perform duties of Flight Engineer which includes utilizing a knowledge of major aircraft systems associated with heavy multiengine aircraft.

The interrelationships among these systems and capabilities of the aircraft. Performs other duties as assigned
