Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, Position Description Number D2513P01 and is part of the 109TH AW, National Guard.

Military Grades: Enlisted Only GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Skill in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately.
Skill in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material. Skill in presenting formal training presentations and briefings.
Ability to prepare reports and presentation formats. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-7: Must have 1 year equivalent to the next lower grade.
Experience performing developmental assignments of moderate difficulty where work procedures are established and a number of specific guidelines exist.
Experienced in work assignments consisting of a series of specific and related tasks have been selected to orient the employee in the practical application of basic occupational principles, concepts, and techniques.
Must have experience in training to further develop analytical skills and techniques in the occupation and assistance in solving problems is available from the supervisor or a higher-graded employee.
GS-9: Must have 1 year equivalent to at least the next lower grade.
Must have experience processing data and performing broad-in-depth financial analysis of interrelated accounting, military and civilian pay, accounts payable and receivable, and various travel entitlements to resolve especially difficult and sensitive, out-of-balance conditions associated with processing actions within Financial Management systems.
Experience analyzing and evaluating data to conduct a variety of fiscal reconciliations, reviews, and account adjustments.
Experience in analyzing and accurately processing financial services transactions (i.e., payroll, debts, and miscellaneous entitlements) while applying quality assurances techniques.
GS-11: Must have 1 year equivalent to at least the next lower grade.
Knowledge of laws, DOD Directives, finance regulations and financial management and operating procedures relative to the entitlements and allowances related to the payment of military personnel, civilian personnel, vendors, and travelers.
Extensive knowledge of military pay and allowances, civilian pay and allowances, vendor payments, and travel entitlements.
A detailed grasp of governing regulations and a thorough understanding of pertinent laws, regulations, and other technical criteria in order to determine propriety of entitlements and pay.
Detailed knowledge of related financial regulations and rulings covering diverse types of pay transactions to typically function as a technical authority for the resolution of an extensive range of issues or problems.
Knowledge of the overall DFAS mission and functions, operation, and relationships to other agencies to respond to special inquiries and task organizations for information and responses Major Duties:
