Full Job Description
This position reports to the Director of Financial Aid and will provide administrative support and general administrative functions to the Financial Aid and Veterans Assistance department. This position works under general supervision, exercising independent judgment in managing administrative process, fiscal support actions, and office operations. May supervise support personnel and serve as a liaison between the department and other institutional offices. Assists with processing financial aid and/or veteran student documents. Supports the director in coordinating the collection, review, and input of financial information and data.
Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services, or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and two (2) years relevant experiences in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or an associate degree and four (4) years relevant experiences in business management, public administration, or administrative services. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment. Ability to coordinate diverse administrative functions. Attention to detail, confidentiality, and time sensitive priorities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the college and with all stakeholders. Ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work of subordinate personnel. Ability to communicate effectively and with empathy. Ability to work independently with sound judgement and apply exceptional customer service standards and procedures. Ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
May require some overnight travel. Additional hours may be required during peak processing cycles.
