This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Field Operations Center East - FOCE in Atlanta, GA.
As Field Operations Supervisor, assists in the management of the Field Operations Department and field delivery of the disaster loan program to homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes, and private non-profit organizations at disaster sites.
Federal status applicants must meet both Time-In-Grade AND experience requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
However, if you have separated from the Federal Government for at least 52 weeks, you are not subject to the Time-in-Grade requirement.

GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: Communicating orally, the policies, guidelines, and/or procedures for an organization's disaster, emergency, or loan making program to a variety of stakeholders, such as high-level government officials, businesses, and individuals; AND Communicating in writing, the policies, guidelines, and/or procedures for an organization's disaster, emergency, or loan making program to a variety of stakeholders, such as high-level government officials, businesses, and individuals; AND Assessing a disaster, emergency, or loan-making organization/program to identify and utilize the appropriate mix of resources and skills required to accomplish the mission; AND Leading or overseeing teams or projects to achieve organizational goals; AND Preparing presentations, correspondence, reports and/or other documents utilizing mobile and desktop productivity applications such as web browsers, email, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Major Duties:
Oversees the establishment and operations of DRCs, DLOCs, and BRCs and program delivery services in remote offices at or near disaster sites.
Through subordinates, plans, manages, monitors, and coordinates all aspects of disaster field operations including staffing, supply, travel, logistics, space, and inter-governmental cooperation to meet the particular needs of those affected by each specific disaster.
Brief Center management on lessons learned and problems to be resolved; makes recommendations for improvement in service quality and timeliness and improvement in field operations.
Develops policies, guidelines and procedures for disaster field operations. Responds to inquiries about disaster declaration criteria and processes.
Coordinates with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), other Federal agencies and state and local government agencies in the planning for and delivery of disaster field services.
Conducts post-operations analyses of recently completed disaster operations to determine successes and problem areas.
