Summary

This job is for a student intern helping with agricultural research projects in Merced County, including collecting data, entering it into systems, and supporting events and activities run by the University of California Cooperative Extension.

This position is with Merced County Cooperative Extension to fill an Extra-Help Agriculture Field Researcher Student Intern.

Please Note: Extra-Help employees are not entitled to County benefits and are limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week.

Desirable Education: Coursework in agriculture/horticulture (soils, plant science, weed management, etc.)

• Under close supervision, will work with UCCE Advisors and staff to assist with agriculture research projects.
• Data collection and data entry.
• Help with putting on UCCE events and activities throughout Merced County
• Maintain resource library, supplies, and equipment storage.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position is with the University of California Cooperative Extension in Merced County. Must be at least 18 years old. Please consider the Supplemental Questions before applying. Successful applicants will be required to meet at the UCCE office in Merced, then travel to various locations throughout the county. Flexible hours -- half days are fine.
