The Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA) is currently recruiting for an Extra Help Administrative Specialist I
As extra help positions become available, the Health & Human Services Agency will select the most qualified and appropriate applicant for the position available.
The number of hours and duration of employment varies by each assignment. Extra help employees may work in a variety of departments in locations throughout the geographic county area.
Extra help employees may not work more than 1,559 hours in any fiscal year from July to June.
An extra help employee who mistakenly works in excess of 1,559 hours in a fiscal year does not become a probationary or regular employee. Applications will be active for six months.

There are no benefits associated with extra help positions.
The Extra Help Administrative Specialist I is utilized throughout the Agency to conduct organizational research, data analysis, program planning, and community outreach.
Candidates selected may work in the areas of Public Health, Behavioral Health, Human Services, and Fiscal/Administrative. Current vacancy resides in Behavioral Health.
The successful candidate must have expertise in project management plus data analysis and reporting, along with the ability to communicate effectively.
Extra Help Administrative Specialists frequently deal with information and analysis that can have a significant impact on the financial, physical, legal, and personnel matters of HHSA, its facilities, employees, clients, and the general public.
They have significant responsibility for researching and recommending financial, equipment, and staff resource allocation.
It requires a high level of flexibility in successfully working with people, data, and equipment.
The research, conclusions, and possible recommendations of this classification will be an integral part of critical organizational decisions.
The highest level of discretion and integrity is required to ensure disclosure of confidential and/or sensitive information does not occur.
Incumbents must possess a high level of initiative and professional judgment in addition to a high standard of civility.
This classification may work in a variety of areas, such as budget, program/project management, community and media relations, and facilities.
