Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing and overseeing safety programs for handling ammunition and explosives at a naval undersea warfare center, ensuring personnel are properly trained and certified while conducting inspections and investigations to prevent accidents.
A good fit would be someone with experience in safety compliance, training, and risk assessment in high-hazard environments like military or industrial settings.
It requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to advise leaders and maintain federal regulations.
You will serve as an Explosives Safety Specialist in the Corporate Operations Department, Infrastructure Division, Safety Branch (Code 1024) of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing administrative support and compliance oversight in an ammunition and explosives (AE) handling qualification and certification (QUAL/CERT) program, planning, scheduling, and conducting inspections and surveys of a QUAL/CERT program, and providing training sessions.
