  • Expertise in supporting systems like Datacap, Frontier, Hearings Case Manager, IFTA, Michigan Kelmar Abandoned Property System, MiSUITE, MiTrace, Paymentus, Remittance Processor, and Trillium
  • Experience with job scheduling and monitoring using Tidal
  • Ability to work hybrid: two days on-site in Dimondale, MI, and three days remote; must relocate to Michigan if out-of-state

Full Job Description

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.

This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB.

This position serves as a Business Analyst Specialist within the Department of Treasury, supporting a range of Department Wide applications and initiatives. A primary focus of the role is managing and supporting the Datacap platform to ensure efficient and accurate document capture processes. The analyst also provides subject matter expertise across Treasury systems including Frontier, Hearings Case Manager, International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA), Michigan Kelmar Abandoned Property System, MiSUITE, MiTrace, Paymentus, Remittance Processor, and Trillium, while also supporting job scheduling and monitoring Tidal.

DTMB does not participate in STEM-OPT.


ITS - 14 -- Position Description


SIGNING BONUS:

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.


Position Location/Remote Office: The office location is Dimondale, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out-of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate.

The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

Requirements

Education and Experience
Possession of a bachelor's degree with at least 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

Experience
Information Technology Specialist 14
Three years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst 12.

Qualifications

An associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, mathematics or equivalent; and at least two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician and four years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst 12.

OR

At least an educational level typically acquired through the completion of high school and at least three years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician and four years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst 12.
