Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This role involves providing high-level administrative support to the head of the Office of Economic Development in Michigan's Transportation Department, including managing office tasks, coordinating activities, and acting as a key contact between the leader and staff or external agencies.
It requires handling sensitive information with discretion and making independent decisions based on the leader's preferences.
A good fit would be someone with strong organizational skills, experience in executive support, and the ability to communicate diplomatically in a government setting.

This position serves as the Executive Secretary for the Administrator of the Office of Economic Development (OED), providing management support and coordinating office activities.
Provide administrative support where interpretations and decisions requiring knowledge of administrator’s viewpoints and independent judgment in making decisions are required.
Act as a liaison between the Administrator and bureau staff, department staff, and governmental agencies.
Perform secretarial duties which require a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, and a wide range of knowledge of the office and department’s goals and functions.
