Job Duties:

  • The ES Eligibility Case Manager (CNTY) performs duties related to the administration of the SNAP and TANF programs for Economic Services to help restore or improve customer financial stability.

  • Conduct quality SNAP /TANF interviews by using agency policy and procedures. Will complete both face to face and phone interviews as assigned and will complete SNAP/TANF re-certifications and renewals.

  • Process accurately SNAP /TANF applications, renewals, re-certifications by following DSS policy and procedures.

  • Identify and properly code and refer applicants to the work program for ABAWD and E&T.

  • Process system generated alerts for the county of residence as well as individual caseload alerts.

  • Identify and document over-payments and make referrals to the Benefit Integrity Unit, prepare supporting documents for Fair Hearings and represent the agency in Fair Hearings.

  • Maintain case records and files in agency designated computer system for documentation and auditing purposes as required by agency policy in a confidential, timely and accurate manner. Prepare reports as requested by supervisor or otherwise required and follows program policy and procedures.

  • Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.

Requirements

A High School Diploma and three (3) years of experience in Economic Services Programs.

A Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for up to two (2) years of relevant program experience.
