This job involves operating heavy machinery to build and maintain facilities like dams, roads, and marinas for Pennsylvania's Fish and Boat Commission, helping protect rivers, lakes, and boating areas.
You'll work outdoors in beautiful spots across the state, often traveling overnight, and handle tasks from driving trucks to fixing equipment and doing manual labor.
It's a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work, has experience with big machines, and wants stable benefits in a nature-focused role.

As an Equipment Operator B, you will operate heavy construction equipment to complete projects such as buildings, dams, access areas, hatcheries, marinas, roads, and bridges.
Equipment operation includes use of excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, hydraulic dredges, vibratory rollers, dump trucks, articulating rock trucks (32,001+ lbs.), and tractor trailers.
These will be used to transport machinery, ensuring loads are secure, within legal limits, and compliant with traffic laws.
You will be responsible for inspecting and servicing equipment for routine maintenance and repairs.
Incumbents perform labor duties such as pipe and culvert installation, guide rail and boat launch installation, erosion control, brush clearing, concrete work, seeding and mulching, operating power tools, and assisting survey crews.
You are expected to adhere to all safety regulations while on duty.
