Full Job Description

Assists the Division Director in leading diverse group of highly trained regulatory staff by performing complex administrative and managerial tasks to implement and administer the state-wide statutory, regulatory and educational activities of the Office of Environmental Health Services (OEHS), Public Health Sanitation (PHS) programs. Assigns, reviews and approves standard operating procedures, provides administrative and program directionality, enforces agency objectives, policies and procedures. Assist the Division Director with budgetary oversight of divisional funds from programs and other federal funding sources. Supports the Division Director by performing research and analysis of legislation and by making recommendations on legislative matters. Oversees the maintenance and utilization of the Statewide Environmental Health Electronic Inspection Reporting Program. Provides after hours emergency response for environmental health issues.

Qualifications

Training: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university. 

OR

Substitution: Additional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at a rate of one (1) year of experience for every fifteen (15) semester hours of graduate training and/or every thirty (30) semester hours of the undergraduate training.

AND

Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience related to the specialty area.
