Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-6. Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or 1 year graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing hazardous waste at Marine Corps sites in California, including scheduling removals, inspecting storage areas, and responding to spills to ensure safety and compliance.
It also includes analyzing data for cost-effective disposal, conducting surveys, and providing training on safety practices.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Determines and plans the scheduling and actual removal of hazardous waste from accumulation sites, maintains records and compiles required reports regarding quantity, types and costs of hazardous waste disposal, and responds to hazardous material spill incidents and serves as advisor to the on-site coordinator.
