THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (CIVIL), Position Description Number D1519P01 and is part of the 107TH ATKW, National Guard.

This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

Military Grades: Enlisted SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level experience, education, or training with knowledge of basic standard engineering principles, methods and practices.

Experience reading and interpreting engineering and architectural plans and specifications. Experience planning, scheduling and supervising; exercising initiative and sound judgment.

Experience using a variety of inspection techniques and practices to determine compliance with plans and specifications. Major Duties:

As an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (CIVIL) (GS-0802-9) you will provide technical expertise in preparing engineering plans, specifications and cost estimates.

Additionally, the incumbent of this position will conduct preliminary, intermediate and final contractual inspections.

These activities require application of the basic principles of engineering technology and related disciplines.
