Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves overseeing utility contracts for electrical, gas, water, and wastewater systems at a U.S.
Army base in Alabama, including inspecting contractor work, managing projects, and ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely.
You'll act as a go-between for contractors and various government teams while helping plan budgets and handle emergencies.
It's a great fit for someone with hands-on experience in utility maintenance and project coordination who enjoys technical fieldwork in a military setting.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is located at Fort Rucker, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence.
Fort Rucker is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville.

Specialized Experience GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes; 1) Performing contract oversight or management of utilities systems covering operations, maintenance, and capital upgrades for electrical, gas, water, and/or wastewater systems; and 2) Monitoring utility construction projects and/or activities; and 3) Developing cost estimates for utility construction projects.
