This internship involves helping the Colorado Department of Transportation update and manage bridge data using new technology, reviewing drawings, performing inspections, and analyzing information to support infrastructure maintenance.
It's a hands-on role that combines office work with occasional field trips around the state.
Ideal for college students or recent graduates studying civil engineering who want practical experience in transportation projects and are comfortable with data tools and travel.

Pay will be determined by education and experience:
Student Trainee I - IV - $19.29 - $25.50 hourly
This is a paid temporary /intern position limited to a maximum of 9 months from the date of hire. In addition to being a fantastic place to work, CDOT offers all temporary employees paid sick leave. Temporary employees accrue one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, capped at 48 hours.

Employment Screening
If an applicant reaches the finalist stage of the hiring process, the Colorado Department of Transportation may procure a consumer report and/or investigative consumer report on the applicant in connection with his/her application for employment purposes, as defined under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
