Summary

Full Job Description

You will serve as an ENGINEER in the COMBAT SYSTEMS TEST & EVAL DEPT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

our resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level or pay band ND-03 (GS-09/11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer applying advanced theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods of Engineering to conceptualize, develop, test, or assess shipboard readiness assessments for combat systems.

  • You will serve as a Team Lead for the development and integration of Combat Systems Alignment (CSA) and Collimation Procedures, Combat System Alignment Manuals (CSAM), and Theory of Combat System Alignment Manual for the ACS and other SCCS.
  • You will provide engineering leadership, planning, guidance, and coordination for work group efforts in support of the Program; assign tasks, oversight of work, resolve conflicts, and serve.
  • You will manage and coordinate the sustainment functions for these systems including operations, testing, configuration management, cybersecurity, deployment, modernization, and maintenance.
  • You will provide program planning and technical direction in multiple functional areas including modernization, maintenance, test planning and execution, data analysis, and reporting.
  • You will interface with government and contractor engineers, scientist, technicians, and managers to develop new and investigate existing technical information as a result of fleet modernization and in-service operational and maintenance problems.
  • You will provide advice on complex, technical design and performance issues in the following functions: new combat systems elements, overall combat systems alignments, alignment processes and procedures, and new measurement initiatives.
  • You will be responsible for performing a variety of complex engineering support project assignments directed toward the Aegis (and non-AEGIS) Combat System elements.
