This seasonal job involves helping low-income Pennsylvania residents apply for heating assistance during the fall and winter months by processing applications, interviewing clients, and entering data into systems.
It's a full-time role in an office setting with possible telework, lasting 6-8 months, and focuses on ensuring people stay warm.
A good fit would be someone detail-oriented with office experience who enjoys public service and working under supervision.

In this position, you will be processing initial benefit applications as well as CRISIS applications for LIHEAP.
This is a full-time, seasonal position that typically runs for 6 to 8 months during the fall and winter seasons to assist clients in the process of applying for heating assistance.
After receiving on-the-job training, you will be performing various duties such as interviewing clients, acting as a liaison with heating vendors, and reviewing applications received to recommend approval or disapproval of benefits consistent with federal and state regulations.
The majority of work is completed through data entry.
Work assignments are limited in scope and performed under close supervision of an Income Maintenance Casework Supervisor who reviews work for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to the program regulations.
You may perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: This position may be eligible to telework full-time based on bargaining unit seniority and organizational demands once all other eligibility criteria are met..
Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
