Key Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Four years of directly related work experience in public safety communications
- At least two years of supervisory or lead-level experience in a communications center
- Ability to manage operations, supervise personnel, and handle scheduling
- Experience assisting with recruitment, hiring, budgeting, and strategic planning
- Successful completion of criminal background, DMV, psychological, physical, drug screening, and polygraph checks
- Obtain and maintain Public Safety Telecommunicator certifications, NENA CMCP within one year, and ICLD within one year

Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Manages operations in the Emergency Communication Center; establishes and implements ECC strategic goals, objectives, and processes to support public safety department’s strategic plans and the Board of Supervisor's approved Service Plan.
• Provides supervision and scheduling of personnel at ECC; communicates effectively with all personnel.
• Assists with recruitment and hiring processes.
• Assists the Department with the development of the budget.
• Assists with planning the short and long-term strategic direction of the Department; provides leadership to ensure Department's goals are achieved.

Additional Information
NENA Center Manager Certification Program (CMCP) preferred within one year of hire.
Institute for Credible Leadership Development (ICLD) within 1 year of hire.
