Summary

Education and Experience: A High school diploma or GED, or higher and two (2) years experience in servicing a variety of electronic, electro-mechanical or telecommunication systems.


Licenses and Certificates: Some positions may require a Texas Class “C” Driver’s License or equivalent from another state.

Requirements

Under general supervision, perform a variety of electronic or electromechanical equipment and system repair tasks.

Qualifications

Install and repair a variety of electronic or electromechanical, equipment and systems.

Involves: Troubleshoot and repair or replace toll equipment, fare boxes, flip dot display signs, video or audio announcement systems, two-way radios, clock systems, traffic signals, motor components and other similar electronic or electromechanical equipment.

Assist in the repair and maintenance of complex, specialized control systems such as utility treatment plant instrumentation, process monitoring and control systems.

Operate testing equipment and verify repairs.


Perform related duties as required. Involves: Perform duties of coworkers and subordinates as necessary to ensure continuity of operations.

Maintain cleanliness of tools, work areas, assigned vehicle and observe standard operating procedures and safety practices. Respond to user questions and furnish information.

Respond to emergency calls for service on a call-out basis and work outside normal working hours as needed. Maintain and update files, records, reports and logs.
