Job Description

Summary

This job involves working as an electrical engineer for the Navy, focusing on designing, testing, and maintaining electronic systems for submarines and similar equipment.

You'll troubleshoot issues, coordinate projects, and write technical reports to ensure everything runs smoothly and meets deadlines.

  • You will write and/or review various technical documents to carry out and record the design process, to analyze existing products, and to specify how to maintain new and existing products so as to fully develop their useful service life.
  • You will coordinate design of new systems, design significant modifications to existing systems, and provides technical support for sustainment of new and existing systems.
  • You will provide support to other codes and shops, perform calculations, and assist with shop/shipboard tests on electrical support systems and services.
  • You will troubleshoot problems and recommend repairs, replacements, modifications, and operational changes as well as conduct studies for solutions to electrical support system and service problems.
  • You will order material, prepare man-hour estimates, status and technical reports, correspondence, schedules and milestones.
