The Pasadena Water and Power Department is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join its Transmission and Distribution Division as Electrical Craft Helpers.
In this role, you will support apprentice- and journey-level electrical workers with the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical transmission and distribution systems, including substations and switch racks.
The position also involves performing semi-skilled, physically demanding tasks related to utility operations.
This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in starting a career in the electric utility industry with Pasadena Water and Power.

VACANCY INFORMATIONThere are currently (4) four vacancies in the Power Delivery- Transmission and Distribution division of the Pasadena Water and Power Department.
The eligibility list created from this recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies over the next twelve months.Possession of a valid Class B California Driver's License is required by the sixth month after appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
Per DMV regulations, Air Brake Driver's License Endorsement is required, and must be obtained within 60 days of appointment, and as a condition of employment.
Valid Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required as a condition of employment and must be renewed every (2) years or as needed, per OSHA requirements.
Candidate(s) for this classification must be at least 18 years of age.
An Electrical Craft Helper is subject to emergency callouts 24 hours a day and therefore must have an active telephone line.
