The Norfolk Community Services Board (NCSB) provides treatment, support, and education to the community with a focus on mental illness, substance use addiction, and intellectual/developmental disabilities. Norfolk CSB provides services to persons in acute crisis as well as integrated, person-centered, and recovery-oriented programming for persons needing assistance and support stabilizing in the community.

Today, the NCSB provides treatment and rehabilitation services to over 6,000 Norfolk citizens yearly. The NCSB is seeking an Electronic Health Record (EHR) Data Analyst, classified as a Data Quality Control Analyst, analyzes and documents core workflows regarding internal and external data sharing interfaces in the Electronic Health Record. Ensures thorough data matching and reports that services provided by agency are properly recorded and accurately reflect submissions to governing bodies. Document procedures and instructions for the tools in place and those developed for data capture and analysis (Crystal Reports, Excel, Dashboards, BI tools, HL7, Data Warehouses).

Department Hiring Salary Range: $45,444- $52,148

Requirements

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • EHR Workflow Documentation and Data Integration Support
    • Documents internal and external data-sharing workflows to support accurate and efficient EHR data exchange.
    • Supports EHR data integrations by maintaining interface documentation and communicating status updates to vendors and internal stakeholders.
    • Understands and operates the EHR system and Microsoft Office tools in a cloud-based environment.
  • Reporting, Data Tools, and Technical Documentation
    • Develops and maintains documentation for data capture and analysis tools, including Crystal Reports, Excel, dashboards, BI tools, HL7 interfaces, and data warehouse processes.
    • Creates, updates, and distributes reports that support operational decision-making and regulatory compliance.
    • Utilizes relational databases, SQL queries, and statistical tools to extract, analyze, and present data.
  • Program and Device Management
    • Manages the City smartphone program and mobile network access devices (MiFi) for CSB staff, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.
    • Coordinates device assignments, replacements, and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with a two-year associate's degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school or equivalent experience.

Two years of experience.

Working Hours: Monday — Friday, 8:30 am — 5:00 pm
