This job is for an economics instructor at a community college in South Carolina, where you'll teach classes, create lesson plans, guide students, and help with college activities.
It's ideal for someone with a strong background in economics who enjoys teaching and working with diverse groups of learners.
You'll need to be flexible with schedules and comfortable using technology in the classroom.
The faculty member reports directly to the Department Head.
The primary responsibilities of the faculty member are to teach courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instructions, design and develop curriculum, advise and recruit students, participate in activities, and perform other duties as assigned.
Work and teaching experience in economics is preferred. Proficiency in a learning management system such as D2L is also preferred.
Successful candidates will have previous experience in teaching, teamwork, leadership skills, goal setting, workplace personal communication, and online instruction or web experience.
Ability to teach varying schedules at various locations, utilizing technology in instruction and various teaching methods.
Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
