The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Drug Demand Reduction Program Manager (DDRPM), managing the installation's civilian and military Department of the Air Force (DAF) Drug Demand Reduction Programs.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Limited area of consideration to Department of Defense (DoD), AF Internal or AF DCIPS Candidates only.

TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE PAID In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Examples of specialized experience includes: (1) Working with Drug Demand Reduction Program goals, principles, methods, techniques for implementation and continued support of the Drug Demand Reduction Program which includes the possible effects of illicit and prescription drug use/abuse on mission accomplishment and community life; (2) applying accepted training theories, methods, and techniques concerning group dynamics and of techniques for facilitating groups, teaching classes, and making presentations; (3) working with budget processes, including developing, maintaining, and executing a budget; and (4) using Drug Demand Reduction databases and office automation programs (Word, Excel, TEAMS, Outlook) to produce data from various sources to define problem areas and focus corrective action.
OR EDUCATION: EDUCATION: Successfully completed a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.
Knowledge of Drug Demand Reduction Program goals, principles, methods, and techniques for implementation and continued support of the Drug Demand Reduction Program to include knowledge of the possible effects of illicit and prescription drug use/abuse on mission accomplishment and community life.

5. Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, to manage the Drug Demand Reduction Program and provide educational materials. 6.
Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct work and programs in situations where numerous diverse demands are involved.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
Coordinates the Installation Military and Civilian Drug Testing Programs.
Under the direct supervision of the installation commander/director or designee, is responsible for all aspects of the installation Drug Demand Reduction Programs to include budget, military and civilian collection programs, and drug abuse prevention, education, and outreach.
Provides administrative oversight to the DAF Drug Demand Reduction Program.
Responsible for oversight of Drug Testing Program Administrative Managers (DTPAMs) working at the installation DDR collection site. Performs DAF Drug Demand Reduction Program Training.
Serves as the subject matter expert in both civilian and military DDR for installation programs. Performs evidence-based outreach and prevention education activities.
Conducts installation training to increase knowledge of the DAF Drug Demand Reduction Program and the effects of illicit drug and substance abuse.
