The Division of Housing (DOH) partners with local communities to create housing opportunities for Coloradans who face the greatest challenges in accessing affordable, safe, and secure homes. DOH supports projects ranging from homelessness prevention to homeownership. Our work includes:

The Temporary Aide (Building Codes & Standards Section) will assist the Program Assistant and Program Manager with the management and operation of the Factory-Built residential and non-residential programs, including manufacturer registration, third-party inspection agency registration, issuing certification insignias, processing in-plant/onsite rough, oversight and onsite AC inspections.
This position also assists the Program Manager with the registration of tiny homes and with the management, coordination, and resolution of the consumer complaints process.
The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide technical and professional programmatic support.
Conduct studies to analyze program issues.
Research and review records and reports to verify details, monitor work activities and evaluate program performance.
Resolve problems and answer questions.
Meet with and advise others in the resolution of conflicts and interpretation of rules, regulations, policies and processes.
Prepare reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents.
Monitor budget, track expenditures and order supplies.
Receive and record written complaints, detailing important information.
Interview and investigate complaints and recommend the appropriate course of action for resolution.
Communicate with stakeholders to include manufacturer, dealer, inspector and/or installer.
Notify inspectors when inspections are needed. Provide copies of inspection report to stakeholders.
Register all sellers of manufactured homes for the State of Colorado.
Gather and review registration submittals for accuracy and correctness. Coordinate completion if information is missing.
Process registration packages and inspection reports. Track registration status of manufacturers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience Only: Two (2) years of experience supporting a program that serves stakeholders, customers and/or applicants.
Program support experience includes reviewing and processing customer applications, gathering relevant information, reviewing documents for regulatory compliance, providing technical assistance, preparing tracking tools, and/or other relevant program-related support.

Terms of Employment:
Temporary Aides are limited Per Colorado constitution, a temporary employee may work for the State no more than nine (9) months in a 12-month period.
The 12-month period is not defined as a calendar or fiscal year, but a rolling 12-month period that begins with the month of the first day of work for the temporary assignment.
For continuous or regular (including part-time) work schedules, the temporary assignment starts the actual date the temporary employee begins work and ends after nine months.
For example, a temporary employee who begins working June 15th may work continuously through March 14th.
Upon completion of the continuous nine (9) month assignment the temporary aide must take four (3) months off prior to returning in the same position.
Temporary employees pay state, federal and local (if applicable) taxes, Medicare tax, and contribute to the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA). They also receive Workers' Compensation coverage.
Non-permanent temporary employees are ineligible for all State of Colorado Benefits except for CSEAP benefits and Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association PERA retirement employer contributions.
Comparative Analysis
Current and former employees (transfers, voluntary demotions, and reinstatements) are required to participate in the comparative analysis process through this job posting.
