This position is part of the Government Secure and Intelligent Documents, Government Publishing Office in Stennis Space Center, MS.
To qualify for the Document Inspection Technician, PG - 1801 - 7 , you must meet the following requirements: Applicant must have 1 year of specialized experience at the PG-05 level (or equivalent) or higher.
Examples of specialized experience includes experience inspecting and verifying the quality of secure credentials and experience with various inspection methods, in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment.
Applicant must also be able to aid in the transport and preparation of secure credentials; and document findings and generate reports to aid in the facilitation of improvements; OR 1 full year of graduate level education; OR Superior academic achievement; OR a combination of education and experience.
The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for the PG-07 grade level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (02/24/2026) to be considered.
