Job Description

Summary

This job involves providing everyday support to a state government division by handling tasks like organizing workflows, keeping records up to date, creating reports, and helping with budgets and purchases.

  • Ability to pass an extensive Michigan State Police background check, including fingerprinting for criminal records
  • Hybrid work schedule: Remote 3 days/week and office 2 days/week in Dimondale, MI (must reside in Michigan)
  • Compliance with state policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Full Job Description

The Division Support Analyst serves as a key resource for CIP Business Services by providing comprehensive
administrative, operational, and analytical support to ensure efficient division performance. This position is responsible for
coordinating business processes, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and assisting with budget and
procurement activities. Analysts act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance
with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. They contribute to process improvement initiatives, support project
implementation, and provide technical and logistical assistance to leadership and staff to facilitate smooth day-to-day
operations.

Position Location/Remote Office:

This position is located in Dimondale, MI. This position may work a hybrid schedule (remote 3 days per week/office 2days per week). Selected candidates who work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.


Requirements

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience

Departmental Analyst 9
No specific type or amount is required.

Departmental Analyst 10
One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11
Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Qualifications

Departmental Analyst 9 - 12 
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.

Michigan State PoliceCandidates selected for this position must complete the Michigan State Police background check.

This extensive background check requires fingerprinting for state and federal criminal background records.
