Applications will be accepted from: All Persons InterestedThe Security & Badging Division is responsible for developing and maintaining a safe and secure airport environment providing our customers with the service and experience they seek most while traveling.
This includes coordinating security related matters with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), airlines, tenants, emergency relief organizations, law enforcement and stakeholder partners.
Inspects facilities to ensure not only compliance with federal security regulations but build upon the HAS customer service by providing a sound security posture and culture.
This division is required to effectively identify risk, threats, and vulnerabilities to develop mitigation strategies.
The Division Manager of Security and Badging maintains the security integrity of the airport and ensures compliance with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) directives and Airport Security Program (ASP) requirements.
This position responds to TSA inquiries and interacts with the Federal Security Director (FSD), Assistant Federal Security Directors (AFSD), airline general managers, and the Houston Police Department (HPD) Lieutenants and Captains.
Evaluates and ensures the effectiveness of the airport security program by observing airport security activities and reviewing policy and procedures.
This position acts as liaison to the TSA, law enforcement agencies, airlines, tenants, government agencies, and airport staff on issues and programs affecting airport security.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
The position requires lifting and moving of moderately heavy items, such as barricades, traffic cones, and equipment (up to 40 pounds) and/or very long periods of walking on rough surfaces on a routine basis.
There are routine discomforts from exposure to heat, cold, moisture/wetness and unpleasant air conditions.
The position may involve routine exposure to soiled materials and chemical substances such as aviation fuel and fluids and cleaning solutions.
Requires the ability to make coordinated eye/hand movements within fairly fine tolerance and/or calibration demands; or the ability to make closely coordinated eye/hand movements on a patterned response space within moderate tolerance demands.
