This part-time dentist position with Pennsylvania's Department of Corrections involves providing essential dental care to inmates, supervising dental staff, and ensuring safe clinical operations in a prison setting.
You'll handle exams, treatments, and referrals while maintaining security protocols.
It's ideal for licensed dentists passionate about public service who can work compassionately in a structured, non-telework environment up to 30 hours per week.

In this role, you will supervise the daily work of the institution's dental staff and be responsible for all aspects of the clinical dental services provided to the inmate population, including periodic examinations, diagnosing oral diseases, and treating injuries.
You will provide basic dental care and perform all dental treatment; assist specialists in the performance of treatment and related duties while on-site; and assure that adequate security, tool control, and Toxic and Caustic Control are carried out within the dental office.
You will also consult with and refer inmate patients to physicians, oral surgeons, and other health care professionals.
