DD Regional Supervisor- Greenville DDS *INTERNAL ONLY*

Full Job Description

**********************************************This position is open to current Vocational Rehabilitation Department employees with DDS only.**********************************************

In this position you will perform the following job duties:

• Manages and directs the Social Security Administration (SSA) Disability Program operational activities in the Disability Determination Services (DDS) Greenville Regional Office.
• Recruit, hire and retain employees.
• Promotes a claimant-centered program by insuring that core duties performed adequately resulting in timely processing of the disability claim.
• Recommends initiatives or revisions in procedures to expedite claims processing.
• Attends legislative, public and disability advocacy forums to present/receive information and/or decision making processes.
• Responds to inquires from the public, employees, media or legislature.
• Ensures development and maintenance of positive relationships with other agencies in the area.
• Participates in management decision making process of the agency; fosters appropriate, positive communication among staff, maintains a team-oriented approach.

Requirements

Master's Degree; or Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant program experience.Minimum of two years of experience in leadership roles required.Requires local travel; occasional overnight travel required.Ability to manage work and provide guidance to employees.Knowledge of management principles.

Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations.*INTERNAL POSITIONS: Please attach a completed internal application Qualifications Supervisory experience preferred.
