This role involves guiding the Seattle Fire Department's use of data to support decisions, planning, and compliance, including building data programs, advising the Fire Chief, and managing budgets for analytics tools.
It focuses on turning fire and emergency response data into actionable insights to improve operations and community safety.

The Seattle Fire Department is pleased to announce an opportunity for the position of Data Analytics Advisor (Strategic Advisor 2).
This position will report directly to the Fire Chief and provide data analytics program guidance to ensure consistent and clean data is used for compliance, decision making, and strategic planning at the executive levels of the Department.
Develop Departmental standards of cover (SOCs) to identify community risk and current, or baseline, levels of performance that the fire department is capable of delivering.
Use data analytics to identify changing trends and patterns in emergency response to guide operational policy and the deployment of fire and EMS resources.
Oversee the Seattle ITD Allocations and Direct Billed Items/Program budget of $12,000 annually.
Perform data analysis and reporting for grants to identify and recommend any shortfalls or gaps to Executive Leadership Team, Fire Chief, and/or CBO in grant data reporting to mitigate potential losses up to $4 million in grant funding, annually.
Requires a Master’s degree in data analytics, or a related field and three years of experience in systems, operations, procedures, research or analysis, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

The full salary range for this position is $56.57 - $84.88 per hour.
