Full Job Description
This position is located at School-Age Care Center, Fort Lee, VA.
Morale Welfare and Recreation Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours).
First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees). Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Be able to communicate in English (verbal and written) 2. Be 18 years of age at time of employment. 3.

IF QUALIFYING BASED ON EDUCATION/CERTIFICATE, SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION MUST BE PROVIDED AT TIME OF APPLICATION. Major Duties:
- Responsible for the operation of the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Technology Lab in accordance with applicable regulations. Plans, coordinates, and conducts activities for program participants.
- Creates a positive environment in CYS Technology Lab that includes appropriate materials and supplies to supplement computer software programs and Internet access. Provides supervision, oversight, and accountability for program participants.
- Ensures computer, peripherals, and software are maintained in good condition and working order. Troubleshoots CYS hardware, printers, scanners, servers and software.
- Interacts with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques. Promotes and role models safety, fitness, health and nutrition practices.
- Trains children/youth in use of equipment and software programs. Ensures assigned area achieves and maintains standards for DoD/Army certification and national accreditation or Army equivalent.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
