Requirements

As a Custodial Work Supervisor, you will lead a dedicated team to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management, as you will be responsible for scheduling assignments, prioritizing facility projects, and conducting on-site inspections to maintain high quality-control standards. Effective leadership and clear communication are essential, as you will train staff on the proper handling of specialized cleaning equipment, industrial chemicals, and infectious waste in strict accordance with safety protocols. Your administrative duties will include managing inventory through supply requisitions, compiling operational reports, and fostering employee development through regular performance evaluations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime as operationally necessary
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Custodial Worker 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of experience performing custodial work.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.


Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
