The Customer Service Division of the Anchorage Trial Court is accepting applications for a Court Case Manager 1 (salary range 10) to assist the public with a variety of case types and perform case management duties.

The Customer Service Division of the Anchorage Trial Court is accepting applications for a Court Case Manager 1 (salary range 10) to assist the public with a variety of case types and perform case management duties.

*Employees working in this job classification will be considered for annual salary increases upon successful completion of a 1-year probationary period. This job classification will promote to range 11 after successful completion of three years of service with the court.*



The incumbent performs a comprehensive range of court administrative duties both at the front and back of the house.

They manage case filings by accepting and reviewing civil, small claims, and criminal documents, opening new cases, processing payments, and importing cases into OnBase.

The role includes routing motions and requests, issuing deficiency notices for incomplete filings, assigning judges, issuing summonses, and scheduling court dates.

The incumbent also recalls bench warrants, handles rescheduling and arraignment assignments, receipts various payments, balances cash drawers, and processes media duplication orders.

They assist the public, legal professionals, and court staff with inquiries, file requests, and court procedures, provide phone support, and assist with unclaimed body cases.

Additionally, they support front office operations during peak times and lunch breaks, retrieve files from different locations, train co-workers, and carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors to ensure efficient court operations and customer service.


What hours will you work?
Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

Requirements

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of office clerical experience.

Substitution:

Additional office clerical work experience will substitute for the high school diploma or GED certificate on a month-for-month basis.

Completion of 36 semester credit hours or 48 quarter credit hours of coursework from an accredited college will substitute for the year of required office clerical experience.

Completion of an appropriate vocational training course of study such as legal secretary, paralegal, or office skills will substitute for the required office clerical experience on a month-for-month basis.
