Requirements

The Intellectual Disabilities Program Specialist 1 is responsible for monitoring activities related to compliance with the Administrative Entity (AE) and AE Operation Agreement.

You will have direct oversight to review and analyze plan authorization as well as service utilization to support the capacity management decisions.

This position provides the opportunity to take part in the statewide Certified Investigators Training.

Upon completion, you will become a Certified Investigator able to carry out investigations as assigned. Incumbents are expected to maintain the Certified Investigator certification for this role.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: After an employee has completed 6 months of employment and has regular status, there may be opportunities for hybrid work, per the program offices' hybrid schedule.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Drexel Hill. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
