Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as a counseling psychologist at a military medical facility in Missouri, where you'll evaluate and treat behavioral health issues for active-duty service members, their families, retirees, and federal employees through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
You'll develop and adjust treatment plans, provide crisis intervention, and offer prevention counseling to help people manage mental health challenges.

Basic Requirement for Counseling Psychologist (Professional Counselor): Degree: Two full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing evaluation and/or assessment of patients with behavioral health issues; developing behavioral health treatment plans; and conducting individual and/or group counseling.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11 or above.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
